*This is a well-designed metaverse gallery.\u00a0 <\/span>The artist built it himself, although it’s hosted in the Cryptovoxels metaverse, as indeed many NFT galleries are.<\/p>\n

*Along with a detailed story about his new NFT artwork (which is currently being auctioned\u00a0 <\/span>in the “Natively Digital” show at Sotheby’s) Matt Kane takes the further trouble to display his own\u00a0 <\/span>collection of NFT work from sixty-four of his artistic colleagues.\u00a0 <\/span>That’s a gesture toward artist solidarity, and it’s quite an interesting assemblage.<\/p>\n

*It’s remarkable how the apparent 2D image of Kane’s homage to Claude Monet can split into compositional layers and ooze into a simulated 3D metaverse space.\u00a0 <\/span>“To achieve with code what Manet did with oils.”<\/p>\n
