They are joined by Gabriele Salvatores, Academy Award-winning director; Rob Minkoff, co-director of The Lion King; Catherine Hardwicke, director of Twilight; Giacomo Mineo, VFX supervisor on Oppenheimer and Christopher Nolan&#8217;s The Odyssey; Christina Lee Storm, producer and former DreamWorks Animation and Netflix executive; Jed Weintrob, director and partner at 30 Ninjas; Nils Hartmann, Executive Vice President of Sky Studios Italy; Sky Italia film journalist Denise Negri; and IndieWire reporter Brian Welk.<\/p>\n<p>Entries are assessed on the use of AI across the full production pipeline, from screenplay to post-production, as well as creativity and production quality. A dedicated prize, the AI for Good Award, recognises the best short film addressing the UN Sustainable Development Goals, in partnership with the ITU.<\/p>\n<p>The submission deadline is 1 June 2026. Finalists will be presented at a premiere event in Venice in September, co-organised with Mastercard.
