\nOur latest publication Under the Cloud is finally here! This new publication documents artistic research in China\u2019s Guizhou region\u2014a site of rapid transformation. The province is one of the eight national \u2018big data hubs\u2019 under the \u2018Data in the East, Computing in the West program,\u2019 the Chinese strategic approach to data that aims to leverage the distinct advantages of each region toward technological growth. Featuring interviews, essays and field notes from trips led by Iris Long and Zike He (2021\u20132023), it\u2019s a deep dive into infrastructure, art and place.<\/p>\n

Our friends at the British Council have just released a brilliant new report that closely echoes the themes of FAE5. Why Technology Needs Artists gathers insights from 56 leaders across 20 countries, showing how artists are shaping the future of tech\u2014from diversifying AI datasets to reimagining innovation with human values at the core.

We\u2019re thrilled that The Call was nominated for the prestigious S+T+ARTS Prize at Ars Electronica! The prize celebrates projects at the intersection of science, technology and the arts that drive social and ecological innovation.

This autumn\/winter, Holly Herndon and Mat Dryhurst will present Starmirror at KW Berlin, building on our R&D and exhibition collaboration in 2024 that explored new protocols and rituals for collaboration with AI. The exhibition will transform the space into a collaborative AI training ground for music and art.
