Artissima<\/strong> \u2014 the most contemporary art fair in Italy \u2014 will return in Turin from November 4 to 6. The unique character of Artissima stems from its dual approach, combining a market proposal at the highest level<\/strong> with a cultural offering<\/strong>capable of investigating new and different ways of presenting art inside the fair<\/em> and in town<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n

Gregory Crewdson. Eveningside<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

In the context of the exhibition Eveningside<\/em> (at Gallerie d\u2019Italia\u2013Torino until January 22, 2023), Intesa Sanpaolo<\/strong>\u2014main partner of the fair for the third year\u2014presents at Artissima a body of original photographic works by Gregory Crewdson<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Artissima Junior<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

A project by Artissima and Juventus<\/strong> conceived for young visitors from 6 to 11 years of age. This year Artissima Junior features the artist Giovanni Ozzola<\/strong> to envision and guide the making of \u201cBRILLA. A constellation<\/strong>\u201d, a project that becomes a collective work of art centring on the concept of uniqueness. The artist, accompanying the children in an analogy with stars, will invite the participants to realize how unique they are, and to understand\u00a0the fundamental importance of their identity and diversity for the future of our society and our world.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

An Alchemic Experience by Jaguar\u00a0<\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n

Inside the fair an immersive booth by Jaguar <\/strong>will engage the audience in a visual experience capable of narrating the transformation of the brand, driven by the same pioneering spirit as in the past but already looking forward to 2025 and to a new identity as a totally electric luxury brand. Jaguar will also sponsor the appearance of the American philosopher L.A. Paul<\/strong>, author of the essay \u201cTransformative Experience<\/strong>\u201d and the protagonist of a special talk at the fair\u2019s Meeting Point, to delve into the concept of transformative experience in the world of art. As the key theme of this iteration of Artissima, the narrative of change through experience triggers connections with the process of transformation carried out by Jaguar.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Torino Social Impact Art Award<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

A devoted space will feature the video works by the two winners of the third edition of the Torino Social Impact Art Award, a project that confirms the commitment of the fair, Torino Social Impact<\/strong> and Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo<\/strong> to the support of young artists. Federico Pozuelo<\/strong> presents Burden of Proof<\/em>, a work on the possible ways in which prejudices feed our actions, influencing and altering the way we interpret the facts. Nat\u00e1lia Trejbalov\u00e1<\/strong> presents Under the Never Ground<\/em>: shot in the Pastiss Underground Fortress, the video is a sci-fi voyage into the bowels of Turin, in which the artist suggests an unusual perspective on the chthonic dimension of the city.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

AudioGuide<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

A new project of podcasts to accompany visitors on independent, personal tours of the fair<\/strong>, posted on the platform of artissima.art and available at any moment during the event. By logging into the Artissima website with a smartphone, visitors can select their own guided tour, beginning their path through the fair thanks to the narrative provided by the voice of the professional mediators from Arteco. The tours are in Italian, with transcribed translation. The project sponsored by Lauretana<\/strong> is part of the developments of Artissima Digital powered by Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

A Sud<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

The project is based on Artissima\u2019s intention to highlight the activities of art foundations and institutions from the southern and island regions of Italy<\/strong>, reinforcing the focus on the Mediterranean as a place of artistic growth and an incubator of new creative perspectives. It is thus an invitation extended by Artissima to its audience to re-examine the specificities of places through art institutions, in the sense of returning to acknowledge and observe them, reconsidering geographical mapping to grasp new connections, proximities and resources. The protagonists of the 2022 edition of A Sud<\/em> are: Fondazione Merz\/ZACentrale<\/strong>, Fondazione Oelle<\/strong> and Fondazione Paul Thorel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n

The fair\u2019s collaboration with the museums of Fondazione Torino Musei<\/strong> continues. For Artissima 2022, under the title So will your voice vibrate<\/em>, three sound installations by Riccardo Benassi<\/strong>, Darren Bader<\/strong> and Charwei Tsai<\/strong> will be presented respectively at GAM\u2014Galleria Civica d\u2019Arte Moderna e Contemporanea, Palazzo Madama\u2013Museo Civico d\u2019Arte Antica, and MAO Museo d\u2019Arte Orientale.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Collective Individuals<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Together with Intesa Sanpaolo<\/strong>, Artissima will present a film and video project produced in dialogue with the recently opened Gallerie d\u2019Italia\u2013Torino<\/strong> who will host the exhibition. Titled Collective Individuals, <\/em>the project will feature a selection of video works, many of which are being shown for the first time in Italy, by artists represented by the galleries participating in Artissima. Curated by Leonardo Bigazzi<\/strong>, curator of Fondazione In Between Art Film and Schermo dell\u2019arte, the project sets out to provide a perspective on the contradictions of the present.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Tempo rizomatico<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

The Ballroom of the historic hotel Principi di Piemonte | UNA Esperienze<\/strong> will host a new contemporary art installation titled Tempo rizomatico <\/em>(Rhizomatic Time) by the Italian artist Diego Cibelli<\/strong>. Cibelli\u2019s artistic research starts with two fundamental premises: the virtuous scenario of Italian landscape and the magnificent archives that have been produced by history. Working with ceramics, within the magical Salone delle Feste (Ballroom)<\/strong>, Cibelli will offer an installation capable of summing up the fundamental values of his creative approach.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Diana Policarpo. Liquid Transfers. illy Present Future 2021 Prize Exhibition<\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n

illycaff\u00e8<\/strong>, historical partner of Artissima, will present at Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo<\/strong> the new video installation Liquid Transfers <\/em>by Diana Policarpo\u2014winner in 2021 of the illy Present Future Prize\u2014in which the artist continues her ongoing research on the relationships between the world of plants and the social, political and economic spheres. The work constructs a scenario that brings together science and speculation to narrate the dynamics of exploitation of natural resources and their impact on ecosystems as well as human and non-human bodies.<\/p>\n
