The \u201cInteractive Art +\u201d category received the most submissions with 928 projects, followed by the \u201cComputer Animation\u201d category with 657 works. In the \u201cDigital Communities\u201d category, 395 projects were submitted. The \u201cu19-create your world\u201d category, which is open to entries throughout Austria, received 358 submissions. The 2022 Golden Nicas go to Ory Yoshifuji and Ory Lab (JP) for \u201cAvatar Robot Cafe DAWN ver.\u03b2,\u201d Rashaad Newsome (US) for \u201cBeing,\u201d Jung Hsu (TW) and Natalia Rivera (CO) for \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/bi0film.net\/\">Bi0film.net<\/a>: Resist like bacteria,\u201d and Mary Mayrhofer (AT) for \u201cThe Black Blanket.\u201d We will also be honoring the US artist Laurie Anderson as a \u201cVisionary Pioneer of Media Art.\u201d The winners of the Golden Nica will receive 10,000 Euro, the Golden Nica in the category \u201cu19-create your world\u201d is worth 3,000 Euro.<\/p>\n<p>This year, the second \u201cArs Electronica Award for Digital Humanity\u201d was announced in parallel with the Prix Ars Electronica. The award, which was initiated in 2021, is once again made possible by the Ministry of European and International Affairs.
