That next project is HUMAN ONE, Beeple\u2019s first digital and physical sculpture. Acquired by Dialectic<\/a>\u2019s Ryan Zurrer for $29.3 million at a Christie\u2019s evening sale last year, the work has now entered the pantheon of one of Italy\u2019s most recognizable museums, the Castello di Rivoli Museum of Contemporary Art in Turin. It\u2019s being presented as part of a group exhibition, “Expressions with Fractures,” curated by the institution\u2019s charismatic director Carolyn Chritov-Bakargiev.<\/p>\n

Beeple sat down with Decrypt\u00a0<\/i>in the museum for an intimate conversation about the work and the future of NFTs….<\/p>\n

…The NFT space, he said, could \u201clearn some lessons\u201d from the museum world, which thinks on a much longer timescale. \u201cThat\u2019s something I think we could badly use in the NFT space, because people are hyper-focused on now, now, now, win, win, win, blah, blah, blah.\u201d<\/p>\n

He predicts a \u201cfracturing\u201d of the NFT space, \u201cto the point where it feels less like a singular space, and much more like a group of communities\u2014much like you don’t hear people say, \u2018I love web pages, or I hate web pages.\u2019\u201d…<\/p>\n
