Fronte Vacuo, the artist group I co-founded with bioartist and performer Margherita Pevere and media designer Andrea Familari, would like to invite you to experience our new durational performance Humane Methods [\u2211XHALE], co-produced with Volkstheater Wien, tanzhaus NRW and CTM\/Club Transmediale Berlin. \u2211XHALE is the third chapter in our series Humane Methods. The series reflects on the new forms of violence emerging in algorithmic societies due to the combination of polarization, climate catastrophe and AI megastructures. \u2211XHALE is a 9 hour synaesthetic biome, consisting of 6 episodes for 6 human performers, 4 fungi, plants and 1 AI performer. Each episode lasts 90 minutes and is based on the same loop which evolves continuously, thus creating new micro-narratives every day. The piece is drastically transdisciplinary and combines dance, theatre, interactive music, body art, AI and biotechnological installation.<\/p>\n

Fronte Vacuo <\/p>\n
Marco Donnarumma, Margherita Pevere, and Andrea Familari founded Fronte Vacuo in 2019 in Berlin. With a decade-long experience in defying boundaries across art genres, they create hybrid live art events as social experiments, where bodies, symbionts, sounds, AI machines, and images interweave, coagulating into pulsing and tumultuous biomes. The group\u2019s ongoing project Humane Methods reflects on the myriad violences emerging from the entanglement of human societies, natural ecosystems, and algorithmic megastructures. Fronte\u2019s body of work is created following methods of shared and dynamic authorship; any member of the group may direct or initiate a project and creative roles are shuffled around in ever-changing ways. <\/p>\n
