Exploring the horror of content, the 37th edition of transmediale questions how logics of content production determine and frustrate our relations to technology. Taking place from January 31 to February 4, the 2024 edition features exhibitions, performances, screenings, and talks, and challenges the unusable politics that spawn from cycles of consumption and distraction.
The festival opens at silent green Kulturquartier, and is followed by three days and nights of programme at silent green, Akademie der Künste, and Haus der Kulturen der Welt. The festival’s main exhibition takes place at Kunstraum Kreuzberg/Bethanien, and will be on view for two months.
transmediale festival is curated by Nóra Ó Murchú, artistic director of transmediale, in collaboration with curators Lorena Juan, Nadim Choufi, and Yasemin Keskintepe. The festival is produced by the transmediale team.
