VACANCY CREATIVE DIRECTOR
WE WANT YOU!

Big news: after decennia of contrarian energy and subversive projects PLANETART founder and Creative Director Kees de Groot will be going into retirement later this year.

This means we are looking for a new Creative Director to take over and usher in a new future for PLANETART!

Under Kees’ guidance, we organized 19 editions (jubileum edition upcoming!) of GOGBOT Festival and opened a Museum of the Future in Enschede, and 10 editions of TEC ART Festival in Rotterdam. His unwavering passion for art, youth culture and creative technology culminated in PLANETART’s participation in the BIS, both a recognition for the work we do and a clear sign that there is a demand for rebellious, futuristic art projects. The people want us!

We will not let Kees’ retirement pass unnoticed, so the coming weeks we’ll be spotlighting this wonderfully unique character.

ANOTHER VACANCY!
PROJECT LEADER HOUSING

In addition to a new Creative Director PLANETART is also looking for a Project Leader Housing who works towards a sustainable future for creative breeding ground WARP Technopolis, currently housed in a 4000m2 building next to Enschede Central Station. Your mission is to sharply and clearly question the needs and wishes of involved stakeholders and provide a shared picture of the possibilities and impossibilities with regard to future housing of WARP. Practically, this results in a business case, a route scenario and a risk/opportunity analysis.

RECAP TEC ART ’23

We are looking back on the most successful edition of TEC ART we ever organized. A strong artistic program, combined with a sold out Symposium and afterparties, saw a record numbers of visitors experience TEC ART ’23, centered around the theme of drugs.

Major shoutout to the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, Rotterdam Festivals and the Rotterdam Art Week, and WORM for their continued trust in our projects. Also a big thanks to our partner KITT and their tireless (technological) support in our quest for world domination – including sponsoring our yearly Youngblood Award for the best upcoming talents from creative tec studies in the Netherlands.

Check below for a visual recap of TEC ART 2023!

From 7 – 10 September GOGBOT Festival will take place in Enschede, continuing our thematic research into drugs. More on this soon…
