Hi everyone,
Thank you to everyone who reached out to me with your questions and feedback over the past week. I really appreciate it. It is incredibly helpful to hear directly from collectors as we continue improving Sedition and building the next chapter of the platform. A few common questions came through, so I wanted to answer them here.
What happens if I sell an artwork? Can I withdraw?
If you sell an artwork on Sedition Trade Platform, 10% goes to Sedition and the remaining balance is added to your account as credit. You can use this credit to collect more art, or you can request a withdrawal once you have completed our KYC process. If you would like to do this, just contact support and the team will guide you through it.
What happens if the platform ever shuts down?
If Sedition were ever to shut down and you still owned artworks in your account, you would be given the artwork file, your edition number, and a provenance certificate. Where an artist has accepted Sedition’s minting functionality (launching soon), you would also have the option to mint the work from Sedition onto the blockchain and hold it independently.
That said, Sedition has been around for 15 years and counting. We are not planning on going anywhere. We are here for the long run!
How do I display the art?
You can display Sedition artworks through our apps across web, mobile, Apple TV, and smart TVs via our apps. We also own Muse Frame, which was built specifically for displaying digital art beautifully. If you are interested, you can use the code FLASH25 for 25% off.
Will you bring back more blue-chip artists?
Yes. We are working hard to launch collections that genuinely resonate with collectors. In the next few weeks, we will release a stunning new collection by Mat Collishaw. Shortly after that, we have another major name coming to the platform. More on this very soon.
What benefits will collector tiers unlock?
We want to reward collectors as much as possible. We have partnered with a UK-based platform that gives access to 350+ travel, lifestyle, and everyday savings perks, which will be made available to collectors in the top tiers shortly. Additionally, top tiers will receive priority access to artworks, special releases, invitations, and partner opportunities.
Final thoughts.
We launched a fantastic new collection by Gregory Beylerian last week. It is a strong release with a very attractive entry point, especially for collectors looking to diversify their collection without making a substantial investment.
