Dear Friends of HEK,
How do new digital tools shape artistic creation? What role does artificial intelligence (AI) play in art and culture—and what does this mean for human creativity? How is AI influencing our society?
Artists Esther Hunziker, Stefan Karrer, and Alfatih engage with these questions in their work. Last year, the Art Foundation Pax honoured them with the Pax Art Award for Media Art. Now, in three parallel solo exhibitions at HEK, they present their explorations of AI software systems—critically, reflectively, and with technical finesse.
We delighted to invite you to opening of the exhibition «Esther Hunziker, Stefan Karrer und Alfatih. Swiss Media Art – Pax Art Awards 2024» on 14 February at 19:00.
On 26 February, you’ll have the opportunity to delve deeper into these themes. In collaboration with TA-SWISS, we are hosting an evening dedicated to digitalisation, art, and AI. A panel discussion will examine the impact of digital technologies on artistic creation and cultural diversity in Switzerland, while an interactive workshop in collaboration with Dezentrum Think & Do Tank will offer hands-on insights into AI’s potentials and pitfalls.
Below, you’ll find an overview of our February program. For full details, visit hek.ch.
