Later this week, Feral File is launching support for crypto payments (USDC, ETH, and BTC). We’re excited for this change because it expands your ability to collect without limits.
We initially planned to launch this a couple of weeks ago, but used the extra time to work through technical issues.
As part of this change:
We will be using Stripe for credit card payments and Wyre to process crypto payments. We have revised our Terms for Artists and Collectors to reflect the new service.
Feral File currently accepts Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and USD Coin (USDC). Simply choose the Deposit function under “Account > Profile”, and you’ll be given an address to send a transaction to. When the transaction is finalized, your account will be credited with the appropriate amount of USDC funds.
You will be able to withdraw a positive account balance in cryptocurrency (USDC, ETH, and BTC) at any time to an external wallet within “Account.” Balances will be shown in USDC.
We currently do not permit the use of credit cards for artwork being resold by previous buyers. This is because credit card payments can be reversed for 60 days, which would open us to fraud.
As a reminder, our next exhibition “The Long Cut” featured 7 groundbreaking artists exploring the boundary between the real and the simulated, curated by Iris Long.
Opening on August 10, 2021, 6:00 UTC+0 (2pm Shanghai, 7am London, 2am New York, 11pm Los Angeles on August 9th).
Each artwork is an edition of 75 sold for $75 USD.
You will be able to purchase your edition in one of two ways.
If you have sufficient account balance in your Feral File account, you can use it directly.
If you don’t want to pay with cryptocurrency or you don’t have sufficient account balance, you can instead make a purchase with a credit card, which is currently processed by Stripe.
If you want to pay in crypto, we advise you to add money to your Feral File account wallet in advance, before the exhibition opens.
