NOME MOVES ON!

It has been 10 amazing years since NOME opened in Berlin. After 56 exhibitions, it’s now time to move on. In 2026, the gallery will relocate to Torino, Italy.

I came to Berlin to learn and to give to the city a program of exhibitions, talks, concerts, that came from my heart. The local art scene gave me a lot back, I met a lot of interesting people who understood what I wanted to present and always supported the gallery.

NOME first opened in Friedrichshain with a program informed by my previous career as a digital art curator, but the critical approach was already present. Fundamental to the development of the program was the show Evidentiary Realism, curated by Paolo Cirio. We presented it both in our new venue in Kreuzberg and in New York. Since then, the program had a clear vision and has only grown, expanding to include new artists and eventually finding a home in our most recent venue on Potsdamer Strasse.

First of all, I want to thank my wife Marie. Without her endless emotional support, this program couldn’t have been realized. I’m grateful to Nino, our installer and consultant, for the endless evenings he spent talking and exchanging ideas with me. A heartfelt thanks to Olga, Giannina, and Mariamargherita, NOME’s gallery managers who helped me implement the program. Thanks to Jesi, for the insightful suggestions. I’m particularly thankful to all the artists I worked with, each show was a learning experience that enriched me. I would particularly like to thank Paolo for helping me set the tone of the program, James, Navine, and Marjolijn for their early trust in me, and Cian, Kameelah, Voluspa, Dread, Goldin+Senneby and Igor for helping the program reach new heights. Thank you to all the artists who accompanied me on this journey and, finally, to everyone who supported us, collaborated with us, worked with us, and visited our shows.

I’m now looking forward to the next chapter of NOME.
