Screening Video: “The Otherness of the Others: Women in Turin” – Jasmina Tesanovic, Marcus Bastos, Wilson Sukorski

“The Otherness of the Others. Women in Turin” is a polyphonic multimedia performance in progress. The voices of seven women in Turin revolve around a series of keywords associated with this city of magic, and their intimate relationship with it. The keywords reveal the otherness of the polyphonic narrator, producing in the live performance a random narrative created by the audience. “I wanted to create a memory/memento of Turin through the intimate collective voices of seven women,” says Jasmina Tešanovi?. Marcus Bastos reveals that he feels “many intriguing, important issues in the testimonies of the women, enabling me to strike a perfect balance between a documentary and a experimental video”.
